Formed in 1998, 40 Below Summer came together after drummer and Peruvian native Carlos Aguilar met with singer Max Illidge. Joey D'Amico later joined the duet, followed by Jordan Plingos and Puerto Rican-born Hector Graziani. Their first two releases were self-released EPs titled Side Show Freaks (1999) and Rain (2000) respectively. 40 Below Summer was a five-piece nu metal music group from New Jersey. Despite the fact the group disbanded in 2005, a posthumous release (featuring demo tracks, b-sides and a DVD disc) titled The Last Dance was released on October 31, 2006.
