Adel Imam - Arabic Egyptian Actor - عادل إمام - ممثل مصري Adel Emam was born on May 17, 1946 in Egypt. His full name is Adel Mohammad Emam Al-Najarini, he graduated from university with a degree in agricultural engineering from Cairo University in a time where few had a high-Engineering-degree in the Arab world. Soon after his decision to be an actor, Adel started to draw attention to many social and political issues through which he gained many controversial opinions. He is well known as a revolutionist who always criticizes injustice through comedy. Imam is currently the number one male actor in the Arab world with a CV containing more than 100 movies and plays. To mention a few "Terrorism and the Kebab", "The Terrorist", "Al Zaim", and lately both "Jacobean Building" and "Hasan and Morcos". Most of his works, if not all, have a combined theme of religious fanaticism, extremists, terrorism, dictatorship, poverty, human rights and injustice. Emam is married to Hala Al Shalaqani and has three children, Rami Imam who is now a well-known film director, Mohamed who participated in highly evaluated roles as an actor, and Sarah his only daughter.
