Born: May 10, 1975 in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Andrea Anders biography (bio): Andrea Anders is an American actress, best known for her roles as Alex Garrett on the NBC sitcom, Joey, and of Nicole Allen on the CBS sitcom, The Class. Theatre In 2001, Anders began her career in theatre. She was an understudy for Mary Louise Parker in the Broadway production of Proof and also later played the part of Elaine Robinson in The Graduate. She also appeared in On the Jump at the Arena Stage, New Doors at the Guthrie Theater, and two New York Stage & Film productions, they were, Cold/Tender and New World Rhapsody. In May 2007, Andrea started in the Geffen Playhouse performance of "Fat Pig". Andrea played the part of Jeannie, an accountant. "Fat Pig" closed on July 1, 2007. Television and Film: One of Anders, first appearances on television was a commercial for Dannon which ran in the 90's. Anders is most notable for her work on Joey (2004-2006 - Alex Garrett, 46 episodes) and The Class (2006-2007 - Nicole Allen (neé Campbell), 19 episodes). Anders has also made guest appearances on One Life To Live (1998 - Elaine), Law & Order ("The Fire This Time", 21 November 2001 - Emily Hoyt), The Guiding Light (2001 - Ellie), Oz (12 January 2003 - 23 February, 2003 - Donna Degenhart, 5 episodes) and Tru Calling ("Rear Window", April 22, 2004 - Chris Berensen). She has also appeared on Canadian morning talkshow, Canada AM on 16 October 2006. Anders has also made many minor appearences in films. Her appearances include, the made-for-tv-movie, Spellbound (2003) and the part of Heather in The Stepford Wives (2004). Personal life: Anders was born in Madison, WI, and raised in DeForest, Wisconsin but, she now lives in Los Angeles. She graduated from DeForest Area High School in DeForest, Wisconsin in 1993 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1997. In 2001, she earned a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. According to People Magazine magazine, Anders and her former Joey co-star Matt LeBlanc dated while he was still married to former model Melissa McKnight. |
