The Burden Brothers are a Dallas-based rock band. The band was formed by singer/guitarist Vaden Todd Lewis (formerly of Toadies) and drummer Patrick "Taz" Bentley (formerly of Reverend Horton Heat, Tenderloin, and the Izzy Stradlin Band) in 2002. In the beginning, Lewis and Bentley would use a revolving-door of musicians to help them record EPs that would be released indepently. They released three EPs throughout 2002 in this manner, 8 Ball, Queen O' Spades and Beautiful Night. They ended up keeping Corey Rozzoni (formerly of Clumsy) on guitar and Casey Orr (formerly of Ministry and GWAR among others) on bass, becoming somewhat of a Texas supergroup as everyone in the band had previously played with other Texas-based bands. Next, they signed with Kirtland Records and released their first album, Buried in Your Black Heart, in 2003. Singles "Beautiful Night" and "Shadow" gave the band some success, which led them to national tours with bands like Velvet Revolver, Papa Roach and Finger Eleven. Along the way, they picked up another guitarist in Casey Hess (formerly of Doosu and Jump Rope Girls). The band released their second album, Mercy, in 2006. Orr left the band and was replaced by Zack Busby (formerly of Slow Roosevelt and Halls of the Machine) before the band went out in support of the album. In August 2007, Rozzoni and Busby both left the band, and it has not yet been announced who, if anyone, will replace them. Members: -Vaden Todd Lewis. -Patrick "Taz" Bentley. -Casey Hess. |
