August 18, 2008: " Heidi Montag Releases New Single - Overdosin" Heidi Montag debuted her new song "Overdosin" on Ryan Seacrest's morning show on KISS-FM this morning. The aspiring pop star reveals that the song is about “when you fall in love with someone… and [you're] just overdosing off of their love.” The new season of the The Hills will kick off tonight at 10 o’clock and is expected to be the most dramatic one yet. In Season 4 of the hit MTV series, Lauren, Audrina, Heidi, and Whitney are forced to make big decisions, setting the course for the rest of their lives. The new season kicks off with tensions in high gear between Lauren, Lo and Audrina. To make peace between her roommates, Lauren throws Audrina a birthday party but when Lo decides not to play along, the situation gets worse. Lauren meets up with an old flame from her past, Whitney gets an unexpected surprise at work, and Heidi deals with the fallout of leaving her bosses in Las Vegas. *** July 1, 2008: "Heidi Montag: I Want to Record a Christian Album" There is a different side to Heidi Montag that you don’t see on MTV’s The Hills, the 21-year-old budding singer tells USA Today. “I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God,” says Montag, who identifies herself as “kind of non-denominational Baptist.” Montag — who just released her latest single “Fashion” and frequently reads the Bible — says she even wants to record a Christian album. She adds that she once planned on devoting her life to God as a missionary in Africa. She and beau Spencer Pratt — who just attacked Mary-Kate Olsen after she said he had a bad temper in high school — will head there in August to “feed children and help build things.” (Pratt noted that they could adopt a baby while there, but Montag said, “not right now. I think we’d be married before we do that.”) Despite Jesus teaching forgiveness, Montag says that rule likely won’t apply to her relationship with Lauren Conrad. “I don’t think people are ever going to get that,” she says of a reconciliation. (Still, she insists Conrad will “always have a place in my heart.”) Of Conrad’s claim that Montag spread those sex tape rumors, Montag says: “God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Reports say “Heidi has been [searching] for a place in L.A. to throw the launch party” for her fashion line - aptly called “Heidi Wood,” heh heh - although the faux-chested blonde is struggling to find a venue. *** March 6, 2008: "Spencer Pratt May Have Cheated on Heidi Montag" In the trailer for the upcoming episodes of The Hills, it’s obvious that the tension between Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt has escalated. “When we get back to L.A., I need you to move out… I gave up everything for you!” Montag says. “I’m not the one who wanted to see other people!” Did Spencer Pratt - a notorious player before his emasculation in Season Three - really give his number to another girl, or even worse? A mystery track reportedly featuring both Britney Spears and Heidi Montag has surfaced on the internet. American Idol host Ryan Seacrest debuted the new duet on his breakfast radio show on Monday (03Mar08), admitting he had no idea where the track, Dramatic, came from. Seacrest said, "I just opened an email and there was this track and it said, 'Britney Spears and Heidi Montag'." After previewing the track, the DJ asked, "How can you do that? If she doesn't know Britney, how can she (Montag) do a song with Britney? You've gotta get a little Britney permission on that I would think." Seacrest then placed the entire track on his Kiis-FM website for fans to listen to. Meanwhile, Montag's publicist insists her client knows nothing about the duet. She did do a demo of this song for possible use on her record, but that recording had a male vocal on it, not Britney Spears." *** March 3, 2008: "Heidi Losses Her Step Borhter" Sad news for Heidi Montag, who’s step brother Eric O’Hara, died in an accident after falling of an icy roof at Steamboat Grand Resort, Colorado. According to a source, O’Hara was helping to remove snow from the top of resort’s roof, when he just released the safety clip he was attached to so he could move along the roof when a piece of ice broke loose and he slid down the sloped roof and fell over the edge. O’HARA was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. *** February 15, 2008: "Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's Valentine's Day" Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were spotted enjoying the day on a yacht in Marina Del Ray yesterday. The lovebirds spent their romantic day aboard the yacht, posing for their favorite watching paparazzi, roses and champagne in hand. She phoned Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show this morning and revealed that during the ride, their boat crashed. "We went on a little sailing safari, which was really fun," Montag said, later adding, "We actually crashed. The driver of our boat crashed into three other boats. I was so scared! She was raised by both German-American Parents. Her parents, Darlene and Tim Egelhoff, own a popular restaurant in the area, called the Timberline. After high school, Montag moved to San Francisco, California to study fashion at the Academy of Art University. At freshman orientation, she met Lauren Conrad, star of MTV's Laguna Beach, and the two became close friends. Montag first appeared on MTV during season two of Laguna Beach and was seen on several episodes acting as best friend to Lauren Conrad and secondary cast member Jennifer Bunney. Both Montag and Conrad left the Academy of the Arts and transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, sharing an apartment in Los Angeles, California. In the summer of 2005, MTV began filming the lives of the roommates for Conrad's Laguna Beach spin-off reality show The Hills. Montag left the Fashion Institute in autumn of 2005 when she was hired as an intern at Bolthouse Productions. According to Montag, she dropped out because she did not find the school challenging. Within two years Montag was promoted from intern to event planner at Bolthouse, and she has no plans to return to fashion school. Montag began dating Jordan Eubanks in 2005 and their relationship was featured on season one of The Hills. Montag broke off her relationship with Eubanks in the spring of 2006, a move she has described as "the best decision of [her] life" and something that she should have done earlier. Since the summer of 2006, Montag has been dating Spencer Pratt. Pratt, friend and manager of Brody Jenner, met Montag through Kristin Cavallari who was then dating Jenner. Season two of The Hills (which aired from February through April of 2007) focused on Montag's relationship with Pratt and its effect on her friendships with Conrad and Patridge. As of March, 2007, Montag has given up drinking alcohol. She had a breast augmentation (C implants) and a rhinoplasty at the same time in the Beverly Hills office of plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan in April 2007. Montag's reality TV career began with a few appearances on season two of MTV's Laguna Beach. Her friendship with Conrad led to a featured role in The Hills, which premiered on May 31, 2006. Montag appeared on every episode in seasons one and two. She will return for season three of The Hills, which is set to debut on MTV in the summer of 2007. The nature of Montag's role in future seasons of The Hills is unclear, since she is no longer living with Conrad. Despite her major role on the show, she did not appear on The Hills: Finale After Party (broadcast live from MTV's New York headquarters) or The Hills: MTV Canada Finale After Show (filmed at MTV's Toronto studios). At The Hills: MTV Canada Finale After Show, Audrina Patridge made it public that she no longer speaks with or sees Montag. Montag signed on with Pratt's INNOVATORmanagement company. As of February, 2007, she is working on recording an album with producer David Foster (Jenner's step-father). She describes the sound as "very fun, fresh, sexy . . . the Pussycat Dolls-meets-Gwen Stefani, with a dose of Fergie." Montag danced as a child, so she plans to do "a lot of performing" in connection with the album. Additionally, she indicates that a lot of her songs "will be very sexual." On her personal MySpace page, Montag listed herself as one her favorite recording artists. Montag has discussed taking acting classes, saying she hopes The Hills will help her jumpstart a film career. She really enjoys taking them. She has expressed a desire to have appearances in "some movies" in addition to "a couple of hit albums" in her lifetime. Saturday Night Magazine featured an interview with Montag and a multi-page photo spread in February of 2007. In March of 2007, Stuff magazine featured Montag in a revealing eight-page pictorial and an online video. She talked to US Magazine about the Stuff photo shoot, saying she was nervous for her first sexy photo spread. However, Montag was "excited to show a side of [herself] that people don't get a chance to see just watching The Hills."
