August 21, 2008: "Ivanka Trump Opens Up About Her Life As A "Mogul-ette""
Ivanka Trump opens up her life as a "mogul-ette" in this week's Page Six Magazine. The young Trump talks about growing up with her famous parents, Donald and Ivana, life in the tabloids and her future plans with boyfriend Jared Kushner. Growing up the child of real-estate developer Donald and model mom Ivana Ivanka is wary of the limelight: "It's very rarely that I open US Weekly and see myself in it. And that's the way I like it." One topic that has drawn a lot of buzz from the gossip community are her often-debated "assets" - which her brother Donald Jr. proclaims to be "100-percent real." She refuses to discuss them. You go girl, some things don't need to be talked about. She is willing to talk about her relationship with her parents, however, and she says what you see is what you get. "My parents are exactly who you think. They're very straightforward. They are highly blunt. They say exactly what they're thinking. In terms of their public image versus the reality at home, I don't think there is that much of a divide." Despite being famous by default, she has put in the time and effort to create her own career, as Vice President of Trump Enterprises and starting her own jewelry line, Ivanka Trump Collection. "The line is designed off my personality and my aesthetic. It's feminine but with a modern twist on old Hollywood." Despite the outer glamour, Ivanka pegs herself as "lame," with her ideal night off consisting of "getting group of friends together and trying - 'trying' is the operative word - to cook them dinner. I rarely go past midnight. I get up between 5:45 and 6am and ride my beach cruiser bike around the loop in Central Park for exercise. It's cathartic." And on her on-again, off-again relationship with fellow real estate mogul and New York Observer owner Jared Kushner, she says, "I'm not looking to get married now. I have a lot on my plate. I would love to have children, but I am certainly in no rush." Will there be an engagement ring in her future? "Yes, I'm sure there are diamonds." *** July 22, 2008: "Ivanka Trump Plans Conversion To Judaism For Jared Kushner" The romance between Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner is back on. The handsome couple split in April after a year of dating. Some say Kushner, whose Jewish family is Orthodox, was catching flak for dating a shiksa. But the two have reconciled with the plan that if things get really serious, Ivanka will convert to Judaism before they marry. "It's a possibility, but that's way down the line," a friend of Ivanka told us. "For now, they're back together and very happy." Kushner, whose father made a pile in real estate before buying The New York Observer, made up for lost time by taking Ivanka to see "The Dark Knight" on Sunday. *** Tuesday, April 15: "Ivana Trump's New Husband Is Threated By Her Son, Donald Trump Jr." Donald Trump Jr. threatening to kill his new stepfather wasn't the most romantic part of Ivana Trump's wedding to Rossano Rubicondi on Saturday. But it was the most fun! "We are a construction company and we have job sites, we lose people," Don Jr. told his mother's fourth husband from the microphone at her Palm Beach wedding. "You better treat her right, because I have a .45 and a shovel." *** April 14, 2008: "Ivana Trump Marries Hubby No. 4" The ex-wife of real estate mogul Donald Trump is tying the knot Saturday evening with Italian entrepreneur Rossano Rubicondi, her spokeswoman Catherine Saxton said. The wedding is taking place at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's opulent seaside mansion in Palm Beach. The estate also hosted the billionaire's wedding to Slovenian model Melania Knauss in 2005. Donald Trump, whom she divorced in 1990, is attending, as are their children. "Ivanka is the maid of honor and her two sons are giving her away," Saxton said. Also among the almost 600 guests expected are hotel heirs Rick and Kathy Hilton, the parents of Paris; and singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka. Trump, 59, and Rubicondi, 36, have been together for about six years, Saxton said. They got engaged in September. *** Olympic athlete, actress and fashion model Ivana Trump picture(s)/pic(s), wallpaper and photo gallery. News and Gossip Birth Name: Ivana Marie Zelnickova. Ivana Trump biography (bio): Ivana Trump is a former Olympic athlete and fashion model also noted for her celebrity brand and marriage to mogul Donald J. Trump. Early years: In 1968, Ivana Zelníčková was selected as an alternate on the 1968 Czechoslovakian Olympic Ski Team which allowed her several opportunities to travel outside the Communist Bloc. Soon after, she married childhood friend George Syrovatka in order to attain a foreign passport so that Communist leaders would not deem her a defector. In the early 1970s she earned a master's degree in physical education from Charles University of Prague. In 1975 she left Czechoslovakia for Canada. For the following two years she lived in Montreal, working as a model for some of Canada's top fur companies. In 1976 she moved to New York to promote the Montreal Olympics. That same year she also divorced Syrovatka. It was in New York that she met Donald J. Trump, son of prominent real estate developer Fred Trump. Czech Mate: On April 7, 1977, she married Trump in a lavish society wedding. The Trumps became leading figures in New York high society and business during the 1980s. They set to work on several massive projects, including the construction of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. They had three children: Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. Ivana Trump took a major role in the Trump Organization. She became the Vice President of Interior Design for the company, spearheading the signature design of Trump Tower. Afterwards, Donald appointed her to head up the Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino as president. In the late 1980s, Trump decided to leave Atlantic City in order to devote more time to her family. However, Donald asked her to oversee the restoration of the landmark Plaza Hotel, and she took over as its president. She was named Hotelier of the Year in 1990. Trump's work at the Plaza would be the zenith of her work within the Trump Organization. Towards the end of that year, rumors began to circulate that Donald was having an affair with a former beauty queen from Georgia, Marla Maples. While the family was on holiday in Aspen, Colorado that Christmastime, Ivana had a confrontation with Maples on the ski slopes which was reported in the New York Post the following day. In 1991, Ivana retained entertainment attorney Neil Papiano and filed for divorce, seeking a greater amount of the family fortune than had been set out in her prenuptial agreement. Donald fought back in court, protesting Ivana's claims that she had contributed to the Trump Organization. The divorce battle fueled extensive pieces in the gossip columns. The situation was resolved after the sudden death of Ivana's father from a massive heart attack. The Trumps stood side by side at the funeral and their divorce was settled soon after. Although the settlement remains sealed by the courts it is rumored that Ivana received $20 million, the $14 million family estate in Connecticut, a $5 million housing allowance, all of her jewelry and partial use of Mar-A-Lago, the family home in Palm Beach which also serves as a private club for the Palm Beach elite. After the divorce, she married Riccardo Mazzucchelli. They divorced in less than two years. Ivana Trump became a grandmother when Vanessa Haydon Trump, wife of Donald Jr., gave birth to a girl, Kai Madison Trump, on May 12, 2007. Trump is currently engaged to Rossano Rubicondi, who is 23 years her junior. Career: Soon after the divorce, Trump signed on with the William Morris Agency and developed lines of clothing, fashion jewelry and beauty products that have been sold through television shopping channels, all massive successes. She has also written several books including the bestselling novels For Love Alone and Free to Love as well as the bestselling self help books The Best is Yet to Come: Coping with Divorce and Enjoying Life Again. She played a cameo role in the Hollywood film The First Wives Club with the memorable line: "Remember girls, don't get mad, get everything." Not long after her divorce from Trump, Ivana married Riccardo Mazzucchelli. The marriage did not make it to its second anniversary. Trump filed a $15 million breach of contract suit against Mazzucchelli for violating the confidentiality clause in their prenuptial agreement. The suit was settled out of court. Her companion for the last few years has been Italian model Rossano Rubicondi, who is several decades younger than she. Ivana is presently involved in a trademark dispute with Donald regarding the use of her name for use with real estate services. Source Ivana was the host of Oxygen's reality-dating series Ivana Young Man in 2006. Currently, Trump resides between New York City, London, Palm Beach and St. Tropez.
