Jamey Johnson biography (bio): Jamey Johnson is an American country music singer-songwriter. Signed to BNA Records in 2005, Johnson made his debut with his single "The Dollar", which reached a peak of #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. An album, also titled The Dollar, was released in 2006; however, its second single failed to chart, and Johnson was dropped from BNA's roster. However, Johnson continues to write songs for other artists, including George Strait and Trace Adkins. Career: Jamey was raised in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2005, he released a single called "The Dollar." The single peaked in the top 15 of the country music charts. His debut album titled "The Dollar" sold over 12,000 copies in its first week on the market. "The Dollar" peaked at #14 on the U.S. Hot Country Songs charts, but Jamey's follow-up, "Rebelicious", failed to chart at all, and he has been dropped from his label. However, Jamey is still active as a songwriter, having since co-written a second single for Trace Adkins, titled "Ladies Love Country Boys" as well as Joe Nichols' 2007 single "Another Side of You". |
