August 22, 2008: "Janet Jackson Releasing Own Range Of Underwear With Australian Designer Bruno Schiavi" Janet Jackson is releasing her own range of underwear. Designed by the singer in collaboration with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi, the line is named after Janet's 1987 hit "Pleasure Principle." Janet said: "People have come to me with other ideas but lingerie is a passion for me. Just like music and acting, I can't do it unless I put 100 per cent into it. I've always hated it when lingerie is uncomfortable." The underwear line will debut in the U.S. in November before being sold around the world and will feature bras and pants. All items will be priced under $40. Janet, 42, knows the importance of good underwear only too well. In 2004, she famously had a 'wardrobe malfunction' at the Super Bowl, where her breast popped out on live TV as she performed with Justin Timberlake. Janet has also previously talked about people's perception of her, saying she has learned to accept her body. Janet said: "I like myself a lot more than I used to. The singer's publicist Patti Webster confirmed Jackson needed "time to get better" from a bout of illness, but denied reports that she had been admitted into ER at Cedars-Sinai in LA.
