Joanna Pacitti; American Singer Joanna was born on the 6th of October, 1984 to her parents Stella and Joseph Pacitti who are of Italian and Irish descents. Joanna's talent was evident since she was 5 years old, and although some might ignore a little child's love for music, her parents were 100% sure that their daughter is a soon-to-be star. Her mother supported her, especially when she enrolled her in dances classes which soon blossomed into being chosen for a leading role on the musical play Annie. After over 100 performances, Joanna was replaced by another girl as a result for becoming ill with bronchitis. Four years later, Joanna signed a contract with A&M Records and accordingaly appeared on soundtracks like Legally Blonde. In 2003, she appeared on MTV's "True Life" documentary. After less than a year, she released a single called "Let It Slide". Four years later, she was no longer with A&M records. Lately, the young girl auditioned for American Idol season 8, where the judges gave her 4 yes-es and a golden ticket and then reached a position within the 36 semi-finalist. Hours after the announcements of the semi-finalists, Fox TV, the company producing "American Idol" publicly announced that Pacitti is replaced by fellow-contestant Felicia Barton. Reasons for the disqualification of Joanna has been described as "ineligible to continue in the competition". This came as a shock for both Joanna and the other competitors!
