The Jonas Brothers treated their friends to a $5,000 shopping spree in clothing store American Eagle. The band, comprising siblings Joe, Kevin and Nick, decided to celebrate their current chart success by their father Kevin and pals including their "Camp Rock" co-star Demi Lovato to the store and let them have whatever they wanted. While their friends perused the store, the brothers picked up some boxer shorts and T-shirts for themselves. The brothers are not short of money, having recently spent a staggering $2.9 million on a new six-bedroom mansion in the Vaquero Club gated community in Dallas, Texas. *** August 22, 2008: "CNS Celebrity Report: Joe Jonas And Taylor Swift Appear To Be Dating" First there were rumors that Miley Cyrus was dating youngest Jonas Brother Nick. Now rumors are swirling that middle Jonas Brother, Joe, is dating country singing sweetheart Taylor Swift. Even though Taylor, 18, has said that Joe is just a friend, he did turn up at her concert Sunday night in West Palm Beach, apparently without his brothers Kevin and Nick. Taylor was opening for Rascal Flatts at the Cruzan Ampitheatre. Celebrity News Service was delighted to hear that Joe, who just celebrated his 19th birthday, tried to "hide out" in the crowd by wearing a baseball cap and casual clothes. Fans were onto him, however, and YouTube is filled with videos featuring clips of Joe, wearing a baseball cap, standing near the stage. Some fans are thrilled that the two may be an "item," but only time will tell if they are -- and that is if they are willing to come clean. Lots of celebrity couples try and keep their relationships out of the spotlight. Joe isn't the only one who has been spotting dropping in at concerts, however. Taylor was a surprise guest at a couple of recent Jonas Brothers concerts and she shot a cameo for the Jonas Brothers upcoming 3-D movie. Joe talked to Ryan Seacrest on August 5, and when Ryan asked him if he was dating Taylor, Joe replied, "She's a great girl... I think anybody would love to go on a date with her." Well said Joe, see you at the next Taylor Swift concert! *** July 23, 2008: " Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez?" In the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine - which features The Jonas Brothers on the cover, Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have been outed as a couple. “All I can think about is THE PICTURE,” Rolling Stone deputy editor Jason Gay writes. “What could it possibly be? Why would the Disney handler want to delete it? Was it Nick making out with a girl?” Gay continues: “Later that night, I’m finally able to see the photograph. It’s a picture of Nick, Joe, Kevin and yes, a beautiful young brunette in a scarlet-red top. Nick has his arm around the girl’s back, and the girl’s arm is wrapped around his. Her name is Selena Gomez, she’s Demi Lovato’s best friend and a big new Disney star. The genuine affection in the photo is obvious…” *** July 23, 2008: " Jonas Brothers Buy a Texas Mansion" The Jonas brothers just bought a swanky new home in the Dallas suburb of Westlake. According to the Dallas Morning News, Nick, Joe, and Kevin spent a cool $2.8 million for the six-bedroom house in Vaquero, a gated community in the suburb of Westlake, near Dallas-Fort Worth. The brothers granted power of attorney to their mother, Denise, in order to close the deal. *** July 20, 2008: "Jonas Brothers on FNMTV" The Jonas Brothers joined host Pete Wentz during the live taping of MTV’s FNMTV on Friday at Hollywood’s Ren Mar Studios. The band of brothers announced that they will be debuting the second single from their new album, ‘A Little Bit Longer’, during the MTV Video Music Awards. The 2008 VMAs will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and one-time only in its original format on Sunday September 7, 2008 at 9PM. Nick says “It’s going to be an exciting performance. We’re going to involve the fans in it.” Let’s hope Joe doesn’t do a repeat of last year and hurt himself during their performance. *** June 24, 2008: "High Ratings For ‘Camp Rock,’ The Disney Channel’s Jonas Brothers Movie" Friday night’s premiere of “Camp Rock” on the Disney Channel rocked in the ratings, drawing 8.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Among those, 3.4 million were tweenagers, the 9- to 14-year-olds Disney targets. “Camp Rock” now stands as the Disney Channel’s second-most-watched TV movie of all time. It falls behind, of course, last summer’s record-breaking ratings for “High School Musical 2.” That cultural phenomenon/franchise brought in 17.2 million viewers and was the most-watched entertainment (meaning, excluding sports) telecast ever on basic cable. But “Camp Rock” did outdraw the first “High School Musical” movie, which had an audience of 7.7 million in its initial airing in 2006. In a cross-platforming strategy among various Disney properties, “Camp Rock” will be rebroadcast on ABC’s “Wonderful World of Disney” tonight (Saturday) and on ABC Family tomorrow (Sunday). *** June 19, 2008: " Jonas Brothers Reveal the Girls of Their Dreams" The Jonas Brothers, recently revealed what they really look for in a girl! Kevin, 20, the eldest, tells OK! "It's a girl you can talk to on the phone and it be okay that you're not always there," “It’s just like keeping your favorite watch on,” Kevin said of their purity rings. “We just wear it all the time.” “[I look for] somebody who is really good to mom, somebody who likes to have fun,” middle brother Joe Jonas tells OK!. “It’s really important that when they walk into a room, they don’t only greet the people they think they’re supposed to greet, but they greet everybody,” he continues. *** May 28, 2008: "Jonas Brothers on Tour" The Jonas Brothers are now on the road on their new summer tour which began in Glasgow, Scotland. Jonas Brothers seems to be having loads of fun that they decided to update their blog every day. They posted a blog entitled ‘First Concert’ about the stop in Glasgow talking about the whole day – from the fans waiting outside their hotel from morning until night time to whom they gave free tickets to, the concert starting late because of the amount of people coming in, to reminiscing to what it was like opening for someone else or having just a few people show up to their shows. *** March 22, 2008: "Jonas Brothers Reality Show" It seems that the Jonas Brothers have caught the reality bug. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that the band of brothers will star in their own reality TV show soon. The show is tentatively titled ‘Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream’ and it will provide an intimated look at Kevin, Joe and Nick on their current ‘Look Me in the Eyes’ tour. Viewers will get exclusive backstage access of the teens - watch rehearsals, travel on the bus and perform. You can even see moments of the brothers with their parents and younger brother Frankie. The show is said to air on Spring 2008. A scripted live-action spy comedy series is also said to be in the works. *** Music pop rock Jonas Brothers band picture(s)/pic(s), wallpaper and photo gallery. The Jonas Brothers are an American pop rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of three brothers, Kevin, Joe, and Nick. They have released two albums - It's About Time in 2006 and Jonas Brothers in 2007. Band biography: Nicholas Jonas: discovery and solo album (early 2000s-2005): The band started as a solo project of Nicholas Jonas. Nick was discovered while singing at a barber shop and was referred to a professional show business manager. Nick soon was performing on Broadway. He had acted in several plays, including Beauty and the Beast (in 2002 as Chip), Annie Get Your Gun (as Little Jake), A Christmas Carol (as Tiny Tim and Scrooge at eight), and Les Misérables (in 2003 as Gavroche). After Les Misérables closed, he performed in The Sound of Music (as Kurt) at the Paper Mill Playhouse. In 2002, Nick had written a song for his father, called "Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer)." His father subsequently performed the song and it was released on the 2002 annual Broadway "Equity Fights AIDS" album, Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol. 4. In November 2003, INO Records received a demo copy of Nick singing "Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer)." The label released the song to Christian radio, where it quickly became popular on Record & Radio's Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. By September 2004, an executive at Columbia Records found out about Nick's song. Nick was soon jointly signed to INO Records and Columbia Records and released the single "Dear God." A second single, "Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer)" (performed by Nick), was released on November 16, and was to be followed by a December release of a self-titled solo album, but the album had been pushed back. Nick, along with Kevin and Joe, had written several other songs for the album. In early 2005, Columbia Records' new president Steve Greenberg, listened to Nick's unreleased record. While Greenberg did not like the album, he did like Nick's voice. After meeting with Nick and hearing the song, "Please Be Mine," written and performed by the brothers, Daylight/Columbia Records had decided to sign the three as a group act. Nick's solo album was then canceled. However, on May 17, 2005, one song from the original album, "Crazy Kind of Crush on You," was released on the Darcy's Wild Life soundtrack. It's About Time (2005-2006): After being signed to Columbia, the brothers considered naming their group "Sons of Jonas," before settling on the name the "Jonas Brothers". Throughout 2005, the Jonas Brothers went on several tours, including Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, and the Click Five. They spent the later portion of the year on an anti-drug tour with Aly & AJ and The Cheetah Girls. Additionally, they opened for the Veronicas in early 2006. For the album, titled It's About Time, the band collaborated with several writers, including Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), Michael Mangini (Joss Stone), Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi), Billy Mann (Destiny's Child, Jessica Simpson) and Steve Greenberg (Joss Stone, Hanson). The album was initially supposed to be released in February 2006, but was pushed back several times. The delay was due to executive changes at Sony (the parent company of Columbia) and the executives' desire to have "another lead single." For the album, the Jonas Brothers covered two hit songs by UK band Busted - "Year 3000" and "What I Go to School For". The Jonas Brothers' first single, "Mandy," was released on December 27, 2005. Its music video was shown on MTV's Total Request Live in February 2006 and reached number four. Also in February, another of the Jonas' songs, "Time For Me To Fly," was released on the Aquamarine soundtrack. In March, "Mandy" was featured in the Nickelodeon television film Zoey 101: Spring Break-Up and the Zoey 101: Music Mix soundtrack album (artist listed as Nicholas Jonas). The group's music was also been featured on the Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays program. The band covered "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)" from Pirates of the Caribbean for the DisneyMania 4 album, released on April 4, 2006. Over the summer of 2006, the Jonas Brothers went on tour with Aly and AJ. The Jonas Brothers also created the theme song for the second season of American Dragon Jake Long, airing from June 2006 to September 2007 on the Disney Channel. It's About Time was finally released on August 8, 2006. According to the band's manager, it was only a "limited release" of 50,000 copies. Because Sony was not interested in further promoting the band, the Jonas Brothers then considered switching labels. On October 3, 2006, Nick's 2004 solo single, "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)," was re-released on Joy to the World: The Ultimate Christmas Collection. Also in October, the Jonas Brothers covered "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid. Along with a music video, the song was released on a two disk special edition release of The Little Mermaid soundtrack. The second single released off of the album was "Year 3000." The song became popular on Radio Disney, and the music video debuted on the Disney Channel in mid-January 2007. The band was ultimately dropped by Columbia Records in early 2007. Jonas Brothers (2007-present): After shortly being without a label, the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007. Around the same time, brothers began appearing in commercials for Baby Bottle Pops, singing the jingle. On March 27, two additional songs on two different albums were released: "Kids of the Future" from the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack (Based on Cascada's "Kids in america") and "I Wanna Be Like You" from DisneyMania 5. On June 16, 2007, the Jonas Brothers began their prom-themed summer tour at South Street Seaport in New York City. Their self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers was released on August 7th 2007. It reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart its first week. Two singles with music videos were also released around this time - "Hold On" two weeks before and "SOS" just after the release of the album. In August, the Jonas Brothers made several appearances on television. On August 17, they guest starred in an episode of the Disney Channel Show Hannah Montana titled Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas. They also performed "We Got the Party" with Miley Cyrus in the episode, which appeared after the DCOM High School Musical 2 and was view by 10.7 million people that night. On August 24, the Jonas Brothers performed two songs at the Miss Teen USA contest. The following day, the closing ceremonies of the Disney Channel Games was aired, featuring a performance from the Jonas Brothers. The games were taped on April 27, 2007 in Orlando, FL. On August 26, the Jonas Brothers co-presented an award with Miley Cyrus at the Teen Choice Awards. Future Projects: Starting October 18, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri, the Jonas Brothers will be opening for Miley Cyrus on her 54-date Best of Both Worlds North American concert tour. It will end on January 9, 2008 in Albany, New York. Because of their major success with Disney and Hollywood Records, Disney is now set to create another one of their signature breakout stars. Disney has signed the brothers to a concert special, movie (Camp Rock, premieres January 2008), and TV Series. The fictional television series entitled J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operatives Networking as Spies) starring the trio as a group of government hired spies was filmed, and is expected to debut on the Disney Channel in 2008. In addition to the opening act of the Hannah Montana concert, the Jonas Brothers are also set to appear in Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour film set for 3-D release on February 1, 2008.
