Looking very fun and fearless, Kate Hudson opens up about life and love in a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine in its October issue.

Even with a failed marriage with her ex-husband, The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, the 29-year-old actress still views everything positively. She says there's no bitterness between the two of them, even bravely adding that "it's the best thing that ever happened" to them.

She tells the publication, "Look - we're still basically living together. We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect, but I could never look at (our divorce) as a mistake. If anything, it's the best thing that ever happened to us."

Hudson, who recently split with cyclist Lance Armstrong, also says that she has no specific type in looking for a man.

When asked whether she would consider marriage again, she says, "Yeah, totally. It just depends on the person you meet - if it's important to them, if it's important to you."

Kate Hudson says her divorce from Chris Robinson was the "best thing that ever happened" to her. The "Fool's Gold" actress - who has a four-year-old son with Black Crowes frontman Chris - insists the couple's relationship has improved dramatically since their legal separation in October 2007.

She told America's Cosmopolitan magazine: "Look - Chris and I are still basically living together! We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect, but I could never look at our divorce as a mistake. If anything, it's the best thing that ever happened to us."

The 29-year-old actress recently revealed she doesn't regret forsaking her partying years to have a child.

She said: "Am I going to look back and say, 'God, I wish I could have gone to that concert?' I'd rather be listening to my son sing songs. I'd rather be watching him sleep."

Despite having a series of failed relationships, including those with Lance Armstrong, Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard, Kate also admitted she still holds out hope she will find her soul mate.

August 27, 2008: "Kate Hudson Sued By L.A-Based Laboratory For Allegedly Stealing A Secret Hair Care Ingredient"

Kate Hudson is being sued for allegedly stealing a secret hair care ingredient.

The actress has been accused by Los Angeles company 220 Laboratories of making a verbal deal to promote a line of hair care products before taking the special component and giving it to a competitor.

In the lawsuit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, 220 Laboratories claim Kate took the idea of using volcanic ash from the Vanuatu Islands in the South Pacific and gave it to David Babaii for Wildaid.

Kate, 29, has promoted a line of products for the David Babaii brand in a video, on TV and during interviews.

Both the "Fools Gold" actress and Babaii work with Wildaid. Wildaid is a charity that is working to end illegal trade in wildlife.

Kate has denied the accusations, insisting she has never met anyone from 220 Laboratories.

Her publicist Brad Cafarelli said: "Kate and her attorneys are only just learning of the complaint as Kate has not yet been served. Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them. Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit."

220 Laboratories is suing Kate, Babaii and rival company, Universal Packing Systems, for fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract and breach of confidence. The suit seeks unspecified damages.

Kate Hudson is reportedly trying to reconcile with Owen Wilson.

The "Fool's Gold" actress is said to have been bombarding the "Wedding Crashers" star with phone calls since her split from cyclist Lance Armstrong last month, and although her old flame initially wasn't interested, he is now considering rebuilding their relationship for a third time.

A source said: "He was frosty at first. He felt betrayed when she dumped him for his friend Lance. But after a while, he caved in and has been sweet to her."

The pair first dated in 2006 after meeting on the set of 'You, Me and Dupree'.

Owen attempted suicide soon after their break-up in June 2007 after pictures emerged of Kate kissing new love Dax Shephard. They enjoyed a brief reconciliation earlier this year. Although the pair look set to rekindle their love, Owen's friends are worried the comic star will have his heart broken again.

The insider added to Star magazine: "It's not fair to Owen, because he really cares for her and ends up getting hurt."

Kate, if you were someone like Heidi Montag, it would be understandable for you to skip the movie because of the possible bad acting. You're a great actress so you have nothing to be afraid of. Then again, it seems like everyone hates seeing themselves in videos or on the big screen. Everyone feels like their own voice is very annoying.

Kate Hudson biography (bio):
Hudson was born in Los Angeles to Bill Hudson (a singer, comedian and member of the Hudson Brothers) and the Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn. Her maternal grandmother is of Hungarian Ashkenazi Jewish descent while her paternal grandmother was of Italian descent and her paternal grandfather's ancestry traces to 15th century England. Hudson was raised in the Jewish religion, though her family also practiced Buddhism.
Hudson's parents divorced eighteen months after her birth, and she and her brother, actor Oliver Hudson, were raised in Colorado by her mother and her mother's long-time boyfriend, actor Kurt Russell. Because Hudson's biological father was absent during most of her childhood, the two are estranged from each other. Hudson has stated that her biological father "doesn't know me from a hole in the wall", and that she considers her mother's partner, Kurt Russell, to be her father. Hudson has described her mother as "the woman that I've learned the most from, and who I look up to, who has conducted her life in a way that I can look up to". She has three half-siblings, Emily and Zachary Hudson, from her biological father's subsequent marriage to actress Cindy Williams, and Wyatt, from her mother's relationship with Kurt Russell. Career:
Hudson's breakthrough role was as Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous (2000), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She had previously appeared in the lesser-known films Gossip, a teenage drama, and 200 Cigarettes, a New Year's-set comedy with a large cast of actors. Regarding her early career and succees, Hudson has noted that she is a "hard worker", and did not want to be associated with her well-known parents, wishing to avoid the perception that she "rode on somebody's coattails".
Hudson turned down the part of Mary Jane Watson in the 2002 film version of Spider-Man, and instead starred in remake of the historical romance The Four Feathers, a film which was not well received by critics or audiences. Her next film, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, a romantic comedy, became a big success at the box office, grossing over $100 million after its February 2003 release. Hudson subsequently appeared in several romantic comedies, including Alex and Emma and Raising Helen; the films met with varying degrees of success.
Hudson headlined a thriller called The Skeleton Key in 2005. The film, which had a production budget of $43 million, enjoyed moderate box office success, grossing over $91.9 million worldwide ($47.9 million in the US alone). Her latest film, a comedy titled You, Me and Dupree and co-starring Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon, grossed $21.5 million on its opening weekend of 14 July 2006, within industry expectations.
Hudson has long expressed an interest in producing films, and is currently finalizing a deal to produce and star in the film A Dream of Red Mansions, opposite Ken Watanabe, in which she will play Diana Mellors, a real-life photojournalist who moved to China and became a Communist; filming began in the fall of 2006. Two projects in which Hudson was previously scheduled to star in, the comedy Can You Keep a Secret? and the drama Sleight of Mind, are still in development.

Personal life:
In 2000, Hudson married Chris Robinson, the frontman for The Black Crowes. She gave birth to their son, Ryder Russell Robinson, on January 7, 2004. The couple lived in a house that was once owned by director James Whale and traveled together during Hudson's film shoots or Robinson's music tours. On August 14, 2006, Hudson's publicist announced that Hudson and Robinson had separated. On November 18, 2006, Robinson filed divorce papers, citing irreconciliable differences.
Hudson has noted that she is "not very religious," although she still describes herself as Jewish. Kate is also very much against anti-Semitism and spoke out against it. Hudson had witnessed anti-Semitism in Paris and was offended by this. She has said, "I'm Jewish and this was the first time I experienced real anti-Semitism. Paris was scary...there were synagogues bombed and there was anti-Semitic graffiti all over the place. I was very angry. This is something I am passionate about."
She has also said that she does not enjoy watching herself on screen, specifying that she "gets cold... shakes and... sweats" when watching her performances for the first time.
In July 2006, Hudson sued the British version of the National Enquirer after they had stated that she has an eating disorder and described her as "painfully thin." Hudson said that the tabloid's actions were "completely inappropriate" and a "blatant lie," and specified her concern relating the impressions about weight that she feels the tabloid could have on young girls.
On April 9, 2007, paparazzi photos surfaced of Hudson and her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, together with their son, Ryder. As of 2007, she is currently dating actor Owen Wilson, whom she starred with in the 2006 comedy film You, Me and Dupree. The couple broke up on New Year's Day, but the break-up only lasted a short time until January 12, 2007 when Owen traveled to Melbourne, Australia, where Kate was shooting her new 2007 movie Fool's Gold. They got back together in Australia and started their relationship over again. Kate and Owen went to a basketball game on April 29, 2007 and on May 3, 2007. The couple went to the premiere of the new movie The Wendell Baker Story together on May 12, 2007. On June 5, 2007, Kate and Owen split up again. The couple didn't split up for good, but took a temporary break from their relationship. The cause of the break-up is unknown.
