Actress and model Marisa Tomei pictures, pics, biography, bio, movies and photo gallery. Born: December 4, 1964, Brooklyn, New York, USA. Height: 5' 6" (1.68 m). Tomei was born to Gary and Patricia Tomei, and into an Italian-American family, and raised in Brooklyn. (She has dual citizenship, sometimes traveling under her Italian passport.) While growing up, she was captivated by the Broadway shows her theater-loving parents took her to, and became drawn to acting as a career. After graduating from Edward R. Murrow High School, she went on to attend Boston University for a year, then transferred to New York University in 1983 after landing a role in the soap opera As The World Turns. Soon after, she dropped out of school altogether as her career began to take off. She stated in a 2005 interview that she has aspirations to return to NYU in the near future to study civics.In 2006, Tomei had a recurring role on the TV series Rescue Me, playing Johnny's ex-wife Angie. Notable roles: -Mona Lisa Vito in My Cousin Vinny. -Rita Abromowitz in Slums of Beverly Hills. -Natalie Strout in In the Bedroom. Academy Awards: -Best Supporting Actress: 1992 My Cousin Vinny.
