The actor and his girlfriend Camila Alves took one-month-old son Levi to a John Mellencamp show to help equip him "to be around the sights and sounds of people." The 38-year-old star said: "Everyone talked about how, oh, you have a kid, life changes, it's like 180 degrees on a dime full stop, wow." "And a lot of them had an insinuation under that like, you have to stop living your life as you live it. That hasn't been the case." Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music." "I have it all chronicled. Becoming a dad is something I've dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let's go." "I said to her, 'Let's handle this - let's stay in the rhythm. Don't let the contraction be more than you.'" The publication has also secured the rights to the couple's wedding, if they ever tie the knot. Matthew's spokesperson refused to comment on the deal. Meanwhile, the actor's mother Mary Kathleen said her son was "over the moon" by the birth of his child and has a new found respect for Camila after witnessing what she went through. Personal life: On October 24, 1999, McConaughey was arrested at his home in Austin, Texas on charges of possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. According to police reports, McConaughey was dancing around naked and playing bongo drums with a friend, actor Cole Hauser, a co-actor in Dazed and Confused (1993). The drug charges were dropped, but McConaughey pled guilty for violating the city's noise ordinance and paid a USD $50 fine. An avid University of Texas football fan, it was rumored by UT students that he was celebrating after the #18 ranked Longhorns defeated #3 Nebraska 24-20 on October 23, 1999, after attending that day's game.
