Morgan Freeman says he feels "real good" after being released from hospital yesterday. The Oscar-winning actor insists he is on the mend after being treated for a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage. He told TV show "Entertainment Tonight": "I left the hospital just after 12 noon, Memphis time. I'm doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at Elvis Presley medical facility and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It's great to know people care about you." The 71-year-old actor underwent surgery at the hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, to repair the damage to his left arm and shoulder caused by the crash. *** August 7, 2008: "Morgan Freeman to divorce" Morgan Freeman is getting a divorce. The 'Million Dollar Baby' actor, who was involved in a serious car accident last weekend, is involved in divorce proceedings after splitting with his wife Myrna Colley-Lee last December. Morgan's business partner Bill Luckett said yesterday (06.08.08): "They are involved in a divorce action. For legal and practical purposes, they have been separated since December of 2007." Morgan and costumer Myrna, who have been married for 24 years, have two children together. The 71-year-old Oscar winner also has two other children from previous relationships. The couple met when Morgan was working in an off-Broadway theatre production in 1976 and they married in 1984. Meanwhile, Morgan is said to be in a stable condition in a Memphis hospital following his car crash on Sunday (03.08.08). 'The Dark Knight' actor suffered a broken arm and elbow as well as severed nerves after his car overturned twice into a ditch in rural Mississippi. *** August 4, 2008: "Morgan Freeman Involved in Car Accident" TMZ reports that 71-year-old Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi last night at around 11:30 pm. The "Dark Knight" star was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. TMZ claims alcohol is not a suspected cause in the accident. Freeman's condition is unknown but he was seen talking on the accident scene before he was taken to the hospital, so hopefully things aren’t that bad. Update: His rep has confirmed that he broke his shoulder and arm. The Mississippi Highway Patrol has identified the passenger in his car as Demaris Meyer.
