Actress Nancy Allen pictures and photo gallery. Birth name: Nancy Anne Allen. Born: 24 June 1950 New York, New York, USA. Height: 5' 6" (1.68 m). Spouse(s): Randy Bailey (June 1998 - 6 December 2005) (filed for divorce). Craig Shoemaker (1992 - 1998) (divorced). Brian De Palma (12 January 1979 - 1983) (divorced). Her best-known films are Blow Out, Dressed to Kill and the RoboCop trilogy. Nancy is the daughter of a Lieutenant from Yonkers, New York. At a young age she trained for a dancing career at the High School of Performing Arts, and then attended Jose Quintano's School for Young Professionals. Brian De Palma, the first of her three husbands, directed her in Blow Out (1981); Dressed to Kill (1980); Home Movies (1979); and in Carrie (1976), where she portrayed antagonistic popular girl Chris Hargensen. Other credits include a small role opposite Jack Nicholson in The Last Detail (1973), and Robert Zemeckis’ first feature film I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978). After her divorce from De Palma, her film career went into a noticeable decline, though she did go on to co-star in 1987's RoboCop, where she played the title character's durable female partner Anne Lewis. In more recent years, she had a small but notable role in 1998's Out of Sight, directed by Steven Soderbergh. She hasn't done anything major since the mid to late 90's. The actress was incorrectly reported on Internet Movie Database to have died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Florida on 12 October 2006; she refuted the claim.
