"It's a very personal thing meeting a new grandchild for the first time, but he loves Nancy so much that he wanted her to be there." "He is only expected to be here a few days to catch up with the family before he flies back to the U.S. with Nancy." It's a very emotional and very powerful song." A friend of the musician added to the MailOnline website: "What the song shows is that rather than feeling embittered towards Heather, Paul just feels sorry for her." "He feels sorry that she was never able to tell him the full truth about her past life. He feels that their romance happened so fast and so publicly that a lot never really got said." "Paul knows Heather is a complex person, and deeply misunderstood - but that she has hardly helped herself by being less than transparent about her life." Lyrics on the heartfelt ballad include Paul singing about how Heather helped him cope following the death of his first wife Linda in 1998, and phrases such as, "We could climb every mountain, swim through every sea. Paul also spoke about the last time he saw George, just days before he died from cancer. He added in an interview with Uncut magazine: "We held hands. It's funny, even at the height of our friendship - as guys - you would never hold hands. I sat with him for a few hours when he was in treatment. He was about 10 days away from his death. But it was lovely and the years just stripped back. We joked about things." "One of the things I remember him saying - because he'd been moved from Switzerland to a clinic in New York, and then somewhere else - was, 'Can't we just stop in one place?' And I was going, 'Yeah! Let's go to Speke Hall!' which is an old Tudor tourist place in Speke, where me and George are from. And he's going, 'Oh, that'd be great.' Just amusing, nutty stuff." "It was good. An insider said, “Paul is desperate to keep Bea close by him. If he just heads off round the world he will get upset at not seeing her. “He realizes he has to do some kind of deal with Heather, and to keep disruption to a minimum he has come up with this idea. Heather is so unpredictable that anything could happen.” *** March 7, 2008: "Paul McCartney’s Upcoming £200 Million iTunes Deal" Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly due to sign a deal with EMI Records to release the Beatles back catalogue online, which will help pay the bills for his multi-million-pound divorce from Heather Mills. The singles and albums, including Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the White Album, and Help!, are reported to be the most prized music catalogue released via the internet and estimated to be worth up to £200 million. They will be available on iTunes in the coming months, following the final divorce hearing which is due to take place at the High Court in about 10 days. Paul McCartney’s solo catalogue has been available for download since last May but the Beatles’ recordings will be far more valuable. Paul McCartney has been planning the catalogue’s online release for many years, but a number of legal wrangles held up any deals. In particular, the Beatles row with Apple over use of the name in a music context, the band’s music is published by their own Apple Corp, and the band’s estate has made it difficult for each of the four bandmember’s representatives to agree on any decisions. A source close to Paul McCartney said, “I reckon the Beatles catalogue will go on this year.” Paul himself recently said, “It’s all happening soon. The whole thing is primed, ready to go, there’s maybe one little sticking point left and I think it’s being cleared up as we speak so it shouldn’t be too long.” *** Music singer and songwriter Paul McCartney pictures (pic) and photo gallery, albums covers pictures.
