September 5, 2008: "Pussycat Dolls Hot For F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton To Drive Their Bu"

The 'Don't Cha' singers would love the Formula 1 driver, who is currently dating Nicole Scherzinger, to join them.

Melody Thornton said: "There is always room for him on the tour bus. He is a very sweet and good person."

Nicole, who began romancing Lewis after the pair met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany in February, revealed she is smitten with the 23-year-old driver but admits it is difficult to date a fellow celebrity.

She told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "The attention we get isn't important to me. As long as my boyfriend and I are happy that is all I care about. And we are truly happy.

"It is hard to have a relationship in this industry, so we are taking things one step at a time and living moment to moment. As long as the other girls are OK about it, I hope he will come on tour with us."

Earlier this month, 30-year-old Nicole confessed her boyfriend's fast driving "terrifies" her.

She said: "I'm actually terrified when he takes me on a drive. Especially through the canyons in Los Angeles. Wow! He's at one with his car - let's just say that!"

September 1, 2008: "The Pussycat Dolls Considering To Star In New Musical Film Based On Their Lives"

The Pussycat Dolls are reportedly set to star in a new musical movie loosely based on their lives.

The "Don't Cha" singers are said to be considering scripts which focus on the history of the band and allow them to showcase their acting skills.

A source said: "The Pussycat Dolls are getting a lot of film scripts to look through at the moment. It's going to be semi-biographical, about their rise to fame, with loads of dancing and singing."

Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger previously revealed she is keen to expand the band's empire, and is always interested in considering new opportunities.

She said: "We really want to take the Pussycat Dolls to the next level. One of the guests on our new album 'Doll Domination' is Timbaland, so you never know who might turn up."

Nicole is not the only member of the stunning girl group who has already experienced life on the big screen.

Ashley Roberts, 26, starred in dance movie "Make It Happen" earlier this year.

If the project goes ahead, The Pussycat Dolls would be following in the footsteps of a host of other pop bands to appear in a film.

June 4, 2008: "Pussycat Dolls Filming New Video"

The Pussycat Dolls are working out with Bally. On the verge of releasing the follow-up album to 2005's 7x platinum PCD and filming the music video for their hot new single "When I Grow Up," the Pussycat Dolls are getting a fitness makeover from Bally Total Fitness. For the past three weeks, the sexy singers have been following a customized nutrition plan and recently started personal training sessions, which helped them look their best during the MTV Movie Awards performance.

"Like most people, the Pussycat Dolls want to lose those last few pounds to look their best this summer -- and be in amazing shape for their upcoming video shoot," said John Wildman, Chief Marketing Officer of Bally Total Fitness. "We already have the Dolls on a nutrition program of 5 meals per day and 1,200 calories and they're seeing great results. With the added help of our personal trainers, they will be toned and fit for their shoot. We are thrilled the Pussycat Dolls have chosen us, and we look forward to featuring them in our commercials this summer."

"We are very excited to be working with Bally," said Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. "The Bally team delivers the meals directly to our homes, making it easy to stay on track and reach our fitness goals."

In addition to helping the Pussycat Dolls with personal training and a nutrition program, Bally will feature the Pussycat Dolls new hit song "When I Grow Up" and music video in their upcoming summer advertising campaign.

March 10, 2008: "Carmit Bachar Leaves The Pussycat Dolls"

Carmit Bachar was the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, before choosing to embark on a solo career that has gotten less far than any guy trying to get into the pants of Julianne Hough.

Nevertheless, Bachar is following in the singing steps of her former group mate: she’s leaving the pop group.

“I wanted to be the first to tell you that I’m no longer with the Pussycat Dolls but we will always be sisters forever,” Bachar wrote Saturday on the group’s official website, before thanking fans for their “unconditional love and support.”

The Pussycat Dolls are an award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated American all-female music group. The Dolls began as a burlesque dance troupe based in Los Angeles, and expanded to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The group, which was founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995, released its first single in 2004. The group is one of the most commercially successful new acts to appear in 2005, and has gone on to sell over 5 million records worldwide.
In 2003, Nicole Scherzinger, a former member of Popstars winners Eden's Crush, became the group's lead singer. The group's lineup from 2003-2006 was Scherzinger; Carmit Bachar (who joined in 1995); Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts (who joined in 2001); Jessica Sutta (who joined in 2002); Melody Thornton, (who joined in 2003). Asia Nitollano joined in 2007 when she won Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. By the time the recording group were launched, their stage costumes were developed to bear various branding and "PCD" logos, which preceded the sales of a branded clothing range and other merchandise (via websites and at performances).
They opened the MTV Asia Awards 2004. In September and October 2004, the soundtrack CDs for the films Shark Tale and Shall We Dance? were released, each containing one track by the Dolls. "Sway" from Shall We Dance? became the group's first single and first music video.
The Pussycat Dolls released their debut album, PCD, in 2005. It debuted at number five on the Billboard 200, selling about 100,000 copies, and spawned seven singles. The first single from PCD, "Don't Cha" (with rapper Busta Rhymes), a cover of the Tori Alamaze single, became the group's first hit.[citation needed] The follow-up, "Stickwitu", became the group's first U.S. number one Billboard Pop Radio hit, selling over three million digital downloads and CDs worldwide and becoming their second number-one single in the U.K. The third single, "Beep" (with rapper will.i.am. A subsequent single, "Buttons" (with rapper Snoop Dogg) reached number three on the UK singles chart; the next single "I Don't Need a Man" wasn't as successful. The group's sixth single from the album was "Wait A Minute", released in the U.S. in August 2006.
The group won a Billboard Music Award for "Don't Cha" (Ralphi Rosario mix) as Hot Dance Music/Club Play Single of the Year. The song was also nominated for Top-Selling Single of the Year and Top-Selling Dance Single of the Year.
At the SXSW music conference in 2006, Interscope lawyer Darryl Franklin said, during a panel discussion, that the contract with the group specifies that its members are salaried employees of the record label and, by design, interchangeable. The label also controls merchandise, websites and all other commercial aspects of the group and its income, excluding song publishing.
In 2006, San Francisco-based company Doppelganger (along with Interscope Records) launched the PCD Music Lounge, an interactive website.
On the June 30 VSpot Top 20 Countdown, host Matt Pinfield announced that Scherzinger has written twelve new songs for the follow-up album to 2005's PCD. The second album will be released in late 2007, and entitled Double the Trouble. It will feature collaborations with Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera, as confirmed in an interview early April 2007.
On July 12, 2006 the single "Don't Cha" was certified gold and platinum.
In late 2006, The Pussycat Dolls were also featured in a commercial for Cingular Wireless along with Ludacris and KoRn
During 2005 and 2006, Scherzinger prepared her debut solo album, "Her Name Is Nicole...", due for release in June 2007. Her first single, "Steam", is set for a release in May 2007.
The group received a Grammy nomination on December 7, 2006, in the Best Pop Performance By a Duo or Group category for their hit ballad "Stickwitu". Later that month, the group was selected to perform for the introduction for ABC's coverage of the NBA. In 2007, a version of "Right Now" is being used as a theme song for the NBA, the lyrics have been altered.
On March 14, 2007, the Pussycat Dolls performed at the Manchester Evening News Arena in a concert that was streamed live via MSN Music.
In 2007, Interscope announced that they are looking for a "summer hit" from the group; and to mark the premiere of the "Next Doll" Asia Nitollano, they are going to release a cover version of "Lady Marmalade".
