Scorpions; Heavy Metal Band, Germany In 1965, Rudolf Schenker first started as rhythm guitarist and the lead singer, but after 7 years his younger brother Michael and singer Klaus Meine joined what is now one of the remarkable rock bands today. In the same year, the band released their first album which is called "Lonesome Crow" but months later the band had to split due to Michael Schenker's departure. A year later in 1973, the guitarist Uli Roth joined Scorpions and the band was destined to go on. In 1974 they released another album by the name "Fly to the Rainbow" which was somehow more successful than their first album. But it was until their "In Trance" album that this German band became world-wide known. In 1976, "Virgin Killer" album was released and was acclaimed much attention from the press and the fans alike. Afterward, the band had overcome many band members quits which ultimately lead to the the current five talented guys; Klaus Meine - lead vocals, Matthias Jabs - lead & rhythm guitars, Rudolf Schenker - rhythm & lead guitars, Pawel Maciwoda - bass, and James Kottak - drums. The band has 21 album in all and is now one of the best rock-metal bands in the world, well known for their unique musical style.
