Sliimy photo gallery and recent pictures. Sliimy is a French pop singer and songwriter. Sliimy was born on September 16th, 1988 in St Etienne, France. His birth name is Yanis Sahraoui to Moroccan and Algerian parents. Sliimy grew up in the neighborhood of Vivaraize in St. Stephen with his family of three sisters and one brother. He studied at Notre Dame de Valbenoite high school where he won a singing contest at Pax and accordigly got himself a record deal. He recently got discovered by Perez Hilton after posting his own version of Britney Spears' "Womanizer" on MySpace. In February 2009, Sliimy released his first single "Wake Up" which was also noted as a good start for such a young artist. On April 6, 2009, his first album "Paint Your Face" was released. Sliimy was granted some "pre-concert" appearances with Britney Spears and Katy Perry. On a personal level, Sliimy came out to the media about his sexual life on September 19th, 2008. He said that there is no need to hide that he's gay.
