Born: June 6, 1974, London, England, UK. Height: 5' 7" (1.70 m). Sonya Walger biography (bio): Sonya Walger is a British television actress. Walger was born in London, England. Her father is Argentine, and currently, all her family, including a younger sister, live in Argentina, which Walger visits every year. She is a big fan of Argentinian music. Walger studied English Literature at Christ Church, Oxford, where she received a first class degree. Walger played Flic in Goodnight Sweetheart in 1999, Donna Barnes in The Mind of the Married Man TV series on HBO in 2001 and played Sally Harper on Coupling in 2003. She has also made guest appearances on Lost as Desmond's girlfriend, Penelope "Penny" Widmore. Walger played Nicole Noone in The Librarian: Quest for the Spear with Noah Wyle, but did not reprise that role in The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines. She has a recurring role as Jane Parsons, head of the DNA Lab in CSI: NY. In 2007, Walger will star in a new drama series for HBO entitled Tell Me You Love Me. Huge controversy has arisen around the show even before it has aired because of its extremely graphic sex scenes (erect penises, masturbation, penetration, etc) though all such scenes were achieved using highly realistic prosthetics. With reference to the 'handjob' apparently performed by Walger on actor Adam Scott at the end of the pilot episode, show creator Cynthia Mort has stated that "Sonya is not going to put her hands in a place that they shouldn't be". Fellow actress Ally Walker has also explicitly denied that any actual sex took place on set. |
