July 2, 2008: "Baldwin Threatens To Leave The US" Add Stephen Baldwin to the ranks of celebrities who have threatened to leave the country based on which candidate for president wins an election. In 2000, it was Alec Baldwin and Barbra Streisand who made that pledge if Bush won the election. (They didn't really move). Now, Stephen Baldwin, the younger of the Baldwin brother actors, vowed (with crossed fingers) he will leave the United States if Sen. Barack Obama wins the election. (Baldwin supports McCain). Baldwin also adds this insight into celebrity culture: "You're going to have lot of celebrities coming out just because quote un-quote they want change, whatever, without really fully recognizing who the best person for the job is, which is kind of scary to me," Baldwin tells Fox News.
