The Beu Sisters are a pop-rock girl group from the U.S. state of Florida. The members of the group are sisters Candice (born 1975), Christie (born 1978), Jiliane (born 1983), and Danielle (born 1987). The sisters were born in the state of New York to parents who performed on Broadway, and from an early age the girls were singing together. The four moved with their family to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 1989, and by the end of the nineties, they had formed an a cappella act. Desmond Child, a noted songwriter, took notice of the sisters and helped them ink a contract with S-Curve Records. Debut Album: In 2002, the Beu Sisters' debut album, Decisions, was released. Nine out of thirteen tracks on the album were co-written by the sisters. The album featured the lead single "I Was Only (Seventeen)," for which a music video was filmed. To promote their album, the Beu Sisters toured as the opening act on Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken's 2004 Independent Tour. Soundtrack Contributions: The Beu Sisters can also be heard on various soundtracks, including Disney productions the Ella Enchanted soundtrack, Disney Girlz Rock, Radio Disney Jingle Jams, Radio Disney Ultimate Jams, the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack, and DisneyMania. They appeared most recently on the Because of Winn-Dixie movie soundtrack and have also contributed to the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, featuring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey in 2003. Looking Ahead: Currently, plans are being made for a new Beu Sisters album. A new song, "What Do You Do in the Summer (When It's Raining?)" was released to radio in the summer of 2004. The group is still performing at venues in Florida, though they took a break as Christie Beu gave birth to a baby boy in December 2004.
