July 31, 2008: "Ronnie Wood Banned From Speaking To His Wife And Girlfriend" Ronnie Wood has been banned from speaking to both his wife and girlfriend. Doctors at the rehab facility where the Rolling Stones rocker is currently staying have told him he shouldn't try to work out his personal problems as the added stress could hinder his treatment. As a result, he must not have any contact either with Jo, his wife of 23 years, or Ekaterina Ivanova, the 20-year-old Russian he fled to Ireland with. A friend of the 61-year-old musician revealed: "Ronnie is not allowed to speak to his nearest and dearest while he is in rehab." "He and Jo still have major issues to resolve. But Jo knows there is no point in even trying to talk to Ronnie until he is sober." Ronnie has reportedly confessed to fellow patients that he is in love with both Jo and Ekaterina. The guitarist said: "I love my wife - but I have a girlfriend and I love her too." The ageing rocker is being treated for alcohol, drug and sex addiction. A source said: "Mick officially becomes a pensioner when he turns 65 at the end of July and Keith Richards at the end of the year, and I think Mick wants to get another tour under his belt in case it gets to the point where he can't do any more." "Mick is still dead set on going on tour and has even said that they will do the shows without Ronnie if it comes to it." The Rolling Stones guitarist, 61, has taken Ekaterine Ivanova, 18 to his luxury home in County Kildare, Ireland, and she has already bragged to friends they are a couple. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Ekaterine is absolutely besotted with Ronnie. She has told everyone Ronnie has left his wife for her and they are a full-on item. She said she went to Ronnie's house in London and met his wife Jo. "She said Jo had told her she knew what was going on and begged her not to take her husband away. Ekaterine claimed she told Jo, 'I am not taking him. He is leaving.' She and Ronnie have been seeing each other ever since." However, Jo has branded Ekaterine "mad" and claimed the pair are not having an affair. She also claims Ronnie has started drinking again and says she knew he was going to Ireland to have a drinking session with Ekaterine. Jo said: "Ekaterine is mad - she is a terrible alcoholic. I know her - she's been here. She's a friend and he's a guy." "Ronnie's been drinking heavily - maybe two bottles of vodka a day. I was quite alright that she was hanging around with him. They have been staying in Ireland and Ronnie's art man was with them. Ronnie told me she was staying there and I said, 'OK - get on with it and have a drink, go mad. Drink your guts up.'
