July 24, 2008: "Will Smith Is Hollywood's Best-Paid Actors"
Will Smith, the black actor who rose from the ranks of rappers to become a Hollywood superstar, is now officially the top-earning star in Tinsel town. Smith, 39, earned $80 million in the past year to top the list of biggest earners, ahead of Johnny Depp, who earned $72 million. The continued success of Smith's movies across various genres means he is the first actor ever to have eight films in a row to break the $100 million barrier at the box office. Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers came in joint third with pay cheques totalling $55 million each, and Leonardo DiCaprio rounded out the top five with $45 million in earnings. Bruce Willis was next with $41 million, followed by comedian Ben Stiller with $40 million and Nicolas Cage with $31 million. Comedy stars Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler rounded out the top 10, with $31 million and $30 million respectively. *** July 4, 2008: "Will Smith Wears His "Hancock" Costume In The Bedroom" Will Smith wears his 'Hancock' costume for his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith in the bedroom. The Hollywood star has confessed he dons the tight fitting leather outfit to please Jada when there is no one else around. He said: "I took the suit home and my wife and I use it sometimes. Just around the house. It's great." The 39-year-old star revealed his perfect day would be to play a round of golf with his wife, catch a movie and rush home for some romantic time alone with Jada. He added: "It would have to be a horror film. Horror films make her all clingy. I also like having an afternoon treat on Saturdays if you know what I mean! A power treat later in the day is great too." *** July 3, 2008: "Sex Is the Secret To Will Smith's Success" Will Smith says the secret to a happy marriage is "lots of sex". Will insists a healthy sex life is the key to a successful relationship. When asked how he keeps his 11-year marriage fresh, Will replied: "Lots of sex. All the time, every day. Just lots of sex keeps me going good!" Will also revealed it wasn't until three months into his relationship with Jada that he realised she was the one for him. He added to FOX News: "I was very interested that first night, but I was in a bizarre mental space. Three months into it we were at her mom's house and it just hit me. I looked at her and just knew this was it." Will recently revealed Jada must be prepared to have "lots of sex" if he decides to take a career break. He said: "I've been working a lot the last couple of years. My wife has said we have to take the next five months off. I enjoy my job, I really enjoy working.
