 Thunder and Lightning is the twelfth and final studio album by heavy-rock band Thin Lizzy, released in 1983. Following the departure of Snowy White and the appointment of John Sykes, there was a longer delay between 1981\'s Renegade and this album, released in the UK in March 1983. Thunder and Lightning offered a heavier sound than previous albums, influenced heavily by the guitar playing of John Sykes. However, Thin Lizzy did not surrender their identity to innovative sounds and did maintain their rhythmic signatures, as well as the melodical trademark twin guitar clash heard on most songs.
