| All The World's a Stage is a double live album by Canadian band Rush, released in 1976.
The album was recorded at Massey Hall in Toronto on June 11th, 12th and 13th during their 2112 tour. The track "Limelight" from their later album Moving Pictures includes the line "All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players", perhaps a self-reference to this album. According to the liner notes, this live album marks the end of the "First chapter of Rush," and would mark the start of a trend of releasing a live album after each four studio album cycle. Songs like "Bastille Day" and "Anthem" are similar to their studio versions, but Neil Peart's first official drum solo to be featured on a live album was featured at the end of "Working Man." All the World's a Stage would be Rush's first US Top 40 charting album and would go Gold alongside A Farewell to Kings and 2112 on November 16, 1977. Then All the World's was certified Platinum in 1981 after the release of Moving Pictures.Mike Myers' brother can be heard on the album screaming his band name at the time "Nighthawk" On "Bastille Day".
