Joss Stone - Mind, Body and Soul album cover | |||||||||||||||
Mind, Body & Soul is the second studio album by English soul singer Joss Stone, released in 2004. The album was Stone's most successful album to date in both the UK and the U.S.; it peaked at number one in the UK, making her the youngest female singer to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart (a record previously held by Avril Lavigne), and also peaked at number eleven on the U.S. Billboard 200, where it went Platinum. Even though the album was successful, none of the singles from the album managed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the album's third single, "Spoiled", managed to peak at number fifty-four on the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for "Best Pop Vocal Album" in 2005. It was the UK's thirty-ninth best-selling album of 2004.
The album's hidden track, "Daniel", is about her half-brother, Daniel Skillin, a convicted armed robber who had already been in prison in 2000 for attempting to hold up a post office with a hammer, and was only recently released. This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions. Track listing: 1. "Right to Be Wrong" (Joss Stone, Desmond Child, Betty Wright) – 4:40 2.
