| Goodies is the debut album by American singer Ciara, released in the United States on September 28, 2004 on LaFace and Jive Records. The album received an internationally released in first quarter of 2005 and has sold over 2.63 million copies in the U.S. It is mostly a combination of laid-back R&B songs with catchy pop hooks. Goodies produced four singles: "Goodies", "1, 2 Step", "Oh", and "And I".
After graduating high school and signing a recording contract with Arista, Ciara began recording her debut album, originally untitled Fever. Arista officially announed the album to be released September 23, 2003. But it was then delayed to May 25, 2004, with Lookin At You picked up as the warm-up single. The song was sent to selected DJs in late 2003 and impacted on new mixtapes from DJ LRM and DJ Envy. But Arista folded in January 2004 and Ciara was moved to its parent-company Zomba, under the LaFace imprint. New label picked up Goodies as the debut single and pressed the promo as soon as May. Ciara said in television appearance that there is a secret message within the Goodies album. She has not revealed what it is, but she did hint to the track titles. Track listing: 1.
