The Cars is the first studio album by American new wave band The Cars, released in 1978. In 2003, the album was ranked number 282 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. "Moving in Stereo" was used as the theme for Phoebe Cates' famous pool scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and for a Sydney Bristow pool scene in the Alias episode "Double Agent".
