 Close to You was the second album by The Carpenters, released in August 1970. In 2003, the album was ranked number 175 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. This is one of their bigger efforts with the hit singles "(They Long to Be) Close to You" and "We've Only Just Begun". This was the duo's first big hit and put them on the map for some time to come.
