| can'tneverdidnothin' is Nikka Costa's second studio album recorded for Virgin Records. The album was released on May 24, 2005. It was originally due to be released on October 5, 2004, but was delayed and the order of songs was changed.
When it was finally released, many of the tracks were changed. Some songs were taken out completely, while others were added. Noticeably missing is the Internet download single "I Don't Think We've Met", which was originally the album's opening track. (On the Japanese release, it became the closer of the album as a bonus track.) Costa chose to release the version made available to the public. On Costa's official message board, her good friend, actress Meredith Salenger, reported that Prince makes uncredited appearances on at least three of the albums tracks.
