Mr. Bungle - The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny album cover | |||||||||||||||
The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny is a tape-only self-released album by Mr. Bungle. Today it is an extremely rare collector's item. It was mixed by Trey Spruance during the Easter of 1986.
On this record one can hear Mr. Bungle's original roots as a death metal band, but the album already showcases bits of the group's later style: "Hypocrites" fuses elements of Heavy Metal with parts of "La Cucaracha" and the Peter Gunn theme, while "Evil Satan" is predominantly funk rock. Mr. Bungle used to incorporate the songs of this album into a closing-medley at live shows. The album title is a reference to the time which began the mixing of the album (mixing began around Easter) and the genre of it (death metal). Track listing: Side A 1. "Grizzly Adams" (Spruance) – 2:55 2. "Anarchy Up Your Anus" (Spruance) – 2:09 3. "Spreading The Thighs Of Death" (Dunn) – 5:45 4. "Hypocrites" (Dunn/Patton) – 3:04 5.
