Mobb Deep - Hell on earth album cover | |||||||||||||||
Hell on Earth is a 1996 album by hip-hop group Mobb Deep. It was released a year and a half after their previous album The Infamous. This album features a slight change in style to a more tense and darker sound. The entire album was produced by Havoc, who also raps on the album with Prodigy. The second track, "Drop a Gem on 'Em", is a response to 2Pac's feud with the group, recorded when he was still alive. The song is one of the most acclaimed in the album, along with "G.O.D. Pt. III" and "Hell on Earth (Front Lines)." Hell on Earth is considered by many die-hard fans to be superior to their second album The Infamous because of its dark tone and Havoc and Prodigy's greater focus on lyricism than their previous albums.
Guest appearances include Nas, Raekwon, Method Man, and frequent collaborator Big Noyd.
