| On a Clear Night is the second studio album by Australian female artist Missy Higgins, which was released by Eleven on 28 April 2007. The first single from On a Clear Night is "Steer", which swiftly rose to the top position of the Australian Singles chart in its first week of release.
Higgins actually started writing tracks for her second album as soon as she had finished recording The Sound of White. She stated that “I started quite early because I knew there would a lot of pressure for the second album and I didn’t want to write songs under anyone’s stopwatch. It hasn’t been too bad.” Despite primarily being a pianist, the guitar was the foundation for most of the songs on the album. Higgins admitted that it was easier to write songs on guitar while on tour as opposed to having to "plug your keyboard in, plug it in, set it all up and get headphones”. She joked that she is now a much better guitar player and a worse piano player because she was unable to play it over the last few years. Track listing: All songs written by Higgins. 1.
