Run-DMC - Crown royal album cover | |
Crown Royal is the name of seventh studio album by Hip hop pioneers Run-D.M.C., released after long delays in 2001.
This album was a step away from their hip-hop roots, and featured more of a rock feel, with featured artists including Fred Durst, Stephan Jenkins and Sugar Ray. Other guest artists include: Everlast, Kid Rock, Nas, Prodigy, and Method Man. Crown Royal was mildly successful despite poor critical reviews, and was to have been followed by a 20th anniversary album in 2003 before the death of DJ Jam Master Jay at the end of 2002. The group soon retired after this news. Track listing: 1. "It's Over" (featuring Jermaine Dupri) – 3:40 2. "Queens Day" (featuring Nas & Prodigy of Mobb Deep) – 4:18 3. "Crown Royal" – 3:13 4.
